 Sorry for being MIA for so long.  Life.  Interruptions.  Life.

Our little granddaughter Olivia will be baptized this November 6th!  Great family times, gatherings!  Our oldest son is in from Florida with our oldest granddaughter Sofia who is 11, for ten days, and for the baptism especially!  He is Olivia’s godfather!  Chris’s wife couldn’t make it in because of work issues for her.  It’s so wonderful having all my boys together!  Having Sofia here is another blessing.  We were teaching her how to make cappelletti!

Hallmark Christmas movies have started, and we love them, so I couldn’t work on here and pay attention to the movie!  We also we decorating our home for Christmas from top ti bottom to surprise Sofia,  and she just loved it,  Life.   We also have been making cappelletti to have for a big family dinner tomorrow.  Also breaded chicken cutlets, homemade pizza, and more!  

In the meantime, we had doctor appointments, dentists appointments, booster shots!   It’s been a hectic week!  This coming will be more of the same.  

I am starting to organize for my Christmas shopping.  Like the last few years it will be online shopping!  I can’t take crowds!  I’ll get everything ordered and when it arrives, wrap immediately.  Done and done.

What a joy to have her at our home!  We are enjoying every moment.  They grow up so fast, you just want to keep them close to you.

Just a little update on what’s been happening.

Preparing To Go Home

We usually come to our son Chris, in Florida, for January and February.  We make the drive down from Pennsylvania, in two days.  We drive as far to the bottom of Georgia, and stay overnight there, then cross into Florida, and drive down to Lake Worth.

This year, a week before we were to drive home, my husband got sick, and ended up with a five valve bypass.  Thank God, thru wonderful Surgeon and Cardiologist, and faith and prayers in our Lord, my hubs has made a wonderful recovery.  In the midst of the surgery, coronavirus hit strong in the US.  It sure has been a nightmare, but it has made recovery a bit easier for him, because we couldn't and wouldn't go anywhere.

Now, we are planning our drive home for this Sunday.  We will not stay overnight, but will take our time, bringing sandwiches, snacks, juice, and will take turns driving back home.  We appreciate and love the time spent with our son Chris, our daughter in law Maria, and granddaughter Sofia, but we are missing home so much.  Our other two sons are back in Pennsylvania.  Actually today is our youngest son and his wife's first anniversary!!

So these few days before Sunday, we will start organizing, packing up, and getting plans mapped out.  I will keep you posted.

Here is a picture of my hubby, from last year.  This was taken at GuanaBanna's in Jupiter, Fl.  One of our favorite places.  Isn't it funny how life has changed for us all so much.  So much we take for granted!  Going out to eat out, even sitting and visiting at friends for a coffee.

This too shall pass.  I do think this is bringing us all closer to the Lord, bringing families together, calming the hectic days of life for some.  Although some may be upset by the isolation, the good will come out of it.  Trust in the Lord.  Surrender all to Him daily.  Stay in prayer and thanksgiving.
