Good Times

Our son Chris, his wife Maria, and our beautiful granddaughter Sofia, will be flying out tonight at 8pm from West Palm Airport, to spend a week here.

My son has work, and will meet them at the airport.  Then they have a car rented at Newark airport, and will drive in from there.  We will see them tomorrow morning, we are meeting for breakfast, then will spent the day at the Lake with all the family.  Maria's Mom and Dad own a lakefront home, so it will be a great day, away from the oppressive heat forcast for the next few days.

I am so excited to see them!  We miss them so!

The fourth of July is hubby and my 45th anniversary!  It seems impossible!  But the Lord has blessed us, and we are thankful!

I am not sure how much internet time I will have this week, I want to spend as much time as I can with them.

One of my favorite pictures of Sofia!

Happy Sunday!

Blessings to all my friends!

What a change in the weather!  Last night, it was so hot and muggy, both hubs and I were unable to sleep!  I was up in my chair from around 1 am to 5 am.  I woke up drenched in "dew", and hubs wasn't there.  I went looking for him and found him on the couch with the living room windows all open and he was sleeping there!

I read my bible, prayed, played games on my ipad!  Till 5 am!  The heavy rains finally started blowing in a wind that cooled it some.  So I finally returned to bed, and got an hours sleep.  Needless to say, I am exhausted today, and I had some food to prepare for tomorrows picnic at our niece's, and well as today's meals!  And two zucchini raisin cakes, because I had taken my frozen zucchini packs out of the freezer yesterday to thaw in the fridge and they needed to be used!  I still have about 12, 2 cup packs frozen!!

Here is a picture of one of the Million Bell hanging baskets my sons got me for Mother's Day.  The other is a rusty orangish color.  Both are so beautiful!  And huge, it doesn't look like it here, but i was only taking one side of the basket.  I was trying to see if a plant identifier app worked on my phone, but it didn't!

We ran to Walmart today for some filler annuals for some of our baskets, and we also purchased a cardinal birds favorite seed.  For the life of me, I can't think of the name.  All I know is that there are black seeds in it.  Well, the cardinals are going crazy for it!

I also put out all my hummingbird feeders.  Hubs saw a water fountain you can make for the hummingbirds, he will make.  It provides them fresh water, and a resting place.  I will take pics when it is finished.  I have to order the solar floating water fountain for it.

Thanks for your help with the font Toni, I followed your directions and it worked!!

Time to put on some coffee, so I will visit tomorrow!
