Thunderous Sunday!

We had some serious thunderstorms pass through here this afternoon!  Lightening, heavy rains, the whole package!!  Although it is still hot and muggy, nothing cooled off, it just made it worse.

What have I been doing the past couple days??   Thursday morning I met my friend MaryJule for breakfast, then I did some shopping, home then, cleaning, relaxing a bit, then got dinner ready.  I was in the mood for lasagna, so, that was our dinner, all homemade.  Thursday night, friends came over, and by the time they left and I cleaned up, it was time for bed.  Friday I met Deb for breakfast and we spent the day together.  I am sure she will be updating soon, once she is in her new home.  It is beautiful, so peaceful.  I am sure she will tell you about it when she can.

Saturday I had work, and it was crazy.  I was so glad to get out of there that day!  And that was about it!   We went for the grocery order, and that was about it today.  I napped this afternoon, for some reason I am just worn out, I feel like I just have no energy at all.  Hopefully it will cool off a bit later, and I can mop my kitchen floor.

I certainly am feeling my age.  I am just feeling sad and old, and worn out.   I hope this feeling goes away!  I don't usually feel like this, but I seem to be having a difficult time now.  My weight is not helping me, I am so overweight, so tired out, getting no exercise, and when I try, I can't because I have no energy, and I get winded so quickly!  So... I eat because I am disgusted with myself!  Where will it end?  Sigh

Hi Kathy,
Sounds like you had some fun days having breakfast with friends. I know what you mean about feeling old and worn out cuz I am! hehe!

Sometimes when it's rainy and dreary outside I feel depressed. Maybe that's whats going on with you. I think cooking, cleaning, doing laundry and shopping is exercise. Don't be sad! I think yours is a normal reaction. Hugz!!

Hi Kathy;

I know just how you feel between the storms and nothing to do and not being able to go anywhere I too feel tired and old. Hang in there as you are still able to work, drive and don't live alone. Too bad we didn't live close by each other. Have a better day my friend. ~Hugs~

Hi Kathy! Every time I visit you after one of my 'breaks', I feel so badly that I missed so much. It was scary just reading about how sick Mike was, & I am so glad that everything turned out well. I love your new look here...you gotta quit moving girl - I might lose you! :-) Hope your spirits improve. Don't be sad - count your blessings - that helps. I think a gratitude journal helps so much - it takes the focus off of 'what's wrong', & puts it on 'what's right'. Not sure if you keep one, but just list 5 things (or less), that you are grateful for each night - it can be as simple as a good cup of coffee (which I am always thankful for). Anyway...sending big hugs to you. Hope you are smiling!

Hi Kathy, i wish i could say something to help you feel better.

here's one of my favorite quotes:

"...we don't quit playing because we grow old,
we grow old because we quit playing...."

so maybe you are just working too hard, and you need to get out your Barbies or something and just play a little ;) go swimming, or jump on a trampoline!

hope you feel better soon!

((huggs))

Hi, Kathy, Your last paragraph summs up what I've been feeling too. So hard to get motivated to do healthy things when you're exhausted and would just rather rest. Hope you feel better soon. A stressful job doesn't help much either. Take care, my friend. Hugs

Hi, Kathy! I'm sorry you're feeling so down! I know about the weight thing and the exercising to! I struggle with those things everyday to! I just don't talk much about them, as if not talking will make it go away? anyway just wanted to let you know, that I really do understand how you feel! and the tiredness to, I'm 44 but feel 80 sometimes! get lots of rest and I hope you feel better soon! (((Hugs)))

You aren't old. Your youngest son just graduated from high school and you have a job that's kickin' your butt. Anyone would feel like you do right now, but you'll get over it.

Is there anyway to shut off the music when you come here? It's annoying.

Hi Kathy...no new post from you, but just checking in on you since you have had the 'blahs'. I do hope you start that gratitude journal - it's something that I began about 10 years ago, & it does work. Hope you post soon - miss you when you are gone!
